Nice walk along the Schuber Trail.
The nearby sign calls this site a foundry. I don't know anything about it, but I will see what I can learn.
About 200 feet away will you see piles of very old tires and some decaying metal structures. I'm told that these are the remains of a maple sugaring operation run by the Boy Scouts many years ago. Apparently they used the old tires for fuel for boiling the sap (I'm guessing this was before the Clean Air Act).
