A very nice monument paying tribute to a pioneer forester.
The following is taken from .Tzaneeninfo. :
"O'CONNER MEMORIAL
The pioneer forester of the district - located on the Woodbush
Forest Drive. At the end of an avenue of enormous Blue Gum trees
planted by Alexander James O'Connor himself. This memorial to the
District Officer of the Woodbush, and later Director of the
Division of Forestry, shares the same epitaph as that of Sir
Christopher Wren."
While you are there take along a picnic basket and have lunch
next to the road in the natural forest or plantations.
Small note on cache maintenance: Jakkals en
Eendjie will assist. Thanks!
