Located near a Petal City limit sign.
Petal, like many small towns in this area, has expanded over the past few years. Even though you may see signs marking the end of Petal's city limits, you may have not really left Petal. The Petal community (& school district) extends from the Leaf River to the Forrest County line. As you travel through the community, look at all of the new subdivisions being built!
This cache had to be modified after it was muggled. It is still located a busy road near a Petal City limit sign, but we have moved it further into the woods. Climbing is NOT necessary as long as you follow the path. There is a small area (a former road)on which you can park near the cache. Please use caution especially with small children.
You are looking for a medium sized plastic container. In honor of our recent visit to Gulf Shores, we have filled the new cache with beach items (ie: shells, driftwood, & silly tourist items). Try to continue the beach theme, but keep it small. Large items may not fit! As always, please rehide as good or better than found.
A word of advice...if you exceed the posted speed limit, there is a very good chance that you will get to meet some members of the Petal Police dept!
