This is a multi with 2 waypoints and Ground Zero. It will take about 30 - 40 minutes to complete but there are PLENTY of other caches along the way to complete. It is centred around Colin Thiele.
Colin Thiele is one of Australia's famous authors. He wrote over 100 books and sadly died in Queensland on September 4th 2006.
Many of his younger years were spend in and around Eudunda and Julia. As a teenager he caught a train from Hampden to high school in Kapunda.
One of my favourite books as a child was Colin Thiele's "Storm Boy". Another of his books "The Sun on the Stubble" was based on his childhood home near Julia, not far from Eudunda.
This is a 3-stage Multi. You will begin at his birthplace in Eudunda, visit his parents resting place and one of his childhood homes.
Many other caches surround this one, you could easily take in others enroute. Eudunda has many caches for a town of its size and near GZ you can visit caches like: Inspiring, Canned What?!, Spit the Dummy and Louann. My thanks to Matmob for these surrounding caches, many of which were amongst the first caches I ever did. Also thanks for the container and swap item she provided for this cache. Do you get the feeling she is trying to get me started on placing caches???????
Now for the clues:
Waypoint 1. w = The number of letters in the street name (only) in which this house lies. x = the number of the house. This house was Mutter Knabe's Nursing Home where Colin Thiele was born in November 1920.
To find Waypoint 2. Substitute the numbers for the letters w and x into the co-ordinates below and calculate.

At Waypoint 2, you will find the grave of Colin Thiele's parents. y = the number of letters in his father's middle name. z = the number of letters in his mother's middle name.
To find GZ, substitute the numbers for the letters y and z into the co-ordinates below and calculate.

At GZ you will find a small tupperware container with various swaps, a notebook and a pencil. Please replace exactly as found. You do not need to cross the fence. The farm at this location is where Colin Thiele lived from 1920 - 1936.
