Take a Hike Griffiths Spring is located on the Coconino National Forest Mormon Lake District and is accessibile on maintained roads to the trail head. There are trail guides on the Coconino National Forest web site Trail Guide and Flagstaff Hikes by Richard and Sherry Mangum. The trail gradually decends a ridge to a junction at this point the trail loops and you can go either direction to the top of Griffiths Springs Canyon. The cache is located off the trail on a point overlooking the canyon.
