Geocache Description:

Everyone come to help clean up this very popular swimming hole located on scenic highway 11.The CITO will be held August 18, 2007 from 10AM till 1PM.

The sliding rock has been visited for decades by people seeking to beat the heat. They carried much trash into the area without carrying as much back out. A couple of years ago the Keowee Garden Club made great strides by cleaning up along the road and establishing Long Shoals Park. But there is a lot of litter still along the creek and swimming area. Come bring along your swimming drawers and help us pick up the litter. Afterwards we can cool off in the water and watch some brave souls slide down the rocks.
