There have been events in Northern Nevada - there have been
events in Southern Nevada - but the vast desert in between has kept
the two from coming together for one all inclusive Meet &
Greet. Allow me to give North and South a place to meet up with
other cachers from around the state and celebrate what makes Nevada
a truly unique place to go caching.
Welcome to all our neighbors and friends! You've cached in
various areas of the state, you've seen places that most natives
have no idea about. Come meet the folks who make geocaching in the
Silver State totally awesome. There is so much more to Nevada
outside of Vegas and Reno, here's your chance to see what lies in
the center of the state.
We're meeting at the Tonopah Elk's Lodge, 241 Central St, (775)

We will have food! Dinner will be at 7pm and is a choice of
either a chicken dinner or a steak dinner. Meals include a side
salad, potatoes, veggies, and a dinner roll. We'll also be offering
ice cream for desert. Kids under 15 can choose to enjoy pizza
instead of the main entrees. All of which is provided by the
Tonopah Elk's Lodge.

We will have finds! RoadRunner has agreed to allow myself and
those helping me with this event to place caches around Tonopah to
increase the number of caches available to everyone for this event
and who are passing through in the future. Have your Pocket Queries
set to run Saturday morning for the most up-to-date information.
Also, I'll have my laptop available at the Elk's Lodge on Saturday
to download waypoints for those who can load their PQ before.
Please Do NOT Place Caches unless you frequently visit
Tonopah. RoadRunner will be enforcing the No Vacation
Caches rule.
Tonopah offers many fine hotels and motels. The "unofficial"
headquarters will be at the Best Western Hi-Desert Inn - 320
S. Main Street - (877) 286-2208. There is high speed internet in
all the rooms, if you don't have an ethernet cable, the hotel does
offer them. There are also computers in the lobby for customer
use.
