North or South, East or West? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Siamese Retriever: Well, this one had its time, and unfortunately, that time is gone. From an ammo box that got stolen(!!) to a lock & lock that probably mowed, I just can't go to a MKH, and that is all that would work in the area now. When I placed this cache, it was in the weeds and trees, and was well hidden. It looks like this area is getting cleaned up, and there is a big FOR SALE sign nearby, so maybe the economy is on the rebound, and this land will soon be a new warehouse. So, thanks to everyone who hunted this one, and I will see if I can't find another good spot. This was so nicely convenient to I-55 and I-80!

Geocache Description:

Plenty of nearby parking besides the nearby fast food restaurant and hotel. A short walk down a hill
and through a bit of brush, so almost a 1/1, but not quite. Very conveniently located within a few miles of the intersection of I-55 and I-80.

Welcome to Joliet! While this is not downtown Joliet, there is a large sign nearby to welcome you. This cache was located to serve travellers throughout the country by sitting close to two major interstates. This is not only a travel bug hotel, thought it is well situated for that purpose. It is also a great drop off point for all the cheap plastic toys you don't want your kids to have on a long drive, where you can leave them for someone elses kids. The container was originally stocked with several TBs, and as much plastic riffraff as I could manage to get into the container and still close it, and a few small LED flashlights.
