Beaver Island lookout Traditional Cache

A short climb to a spectacular view towards Texada Island and the Strait of Georgia.
The marine park on Beaver Island is another hidden gem on the Sunshine Coast. This cache is near the final ascent to a lookout point. The main trail through the park comes to a t-junction after a few hundred meters. There's great walks in both directions. To get to the park, turn left off Highway 101 on Francis Peninsula Road. Follow until you reach Merrill Street. Turn left. There's a parking lot at the trail head.
Don't be discouraged by the Yahoo! map on this page. The cache is NOT in the water. You won't need scuba gear to find it.
