Geocache Description:

A beautiful hike to Pamelia Lake. First waypoint at the trailhead, final waypoint is at the lake.

Turn east off highway 22 on Pamelia Rd and drive a few miles to the trailhead. The coords for the final are listed below in case the first waypoint goes missing again.

The walk is a little over 2 miles and gently slopes upward to the lake. At the end of this hike you're rewarded by the beautiful lake that awaits you. Bring your fishing poles if you like catching little fish. We caught 10 cutthroats right by where the final is stashed.

In order to park at Pamelia Lake you need two different passes from the Detroit ranger station. Call ahead to reserve a day use pass. They are limited but they are free. You also need to pay 5 bucks to park at the trailhead. It might sound like a hassle, but it's really worth it. The number for the Detorit ranger station is 503-854-3366. There's another cool cache at the ranger station too, GC13VFQ.

Bring a camera and post your pictures on your log! The hike is beautiful and the lake is breathtaking. It is also a great place to camp as well!
