Little Tired Creek Trail Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

gacoyote: Seems the floods from Tropical Storm Faye washed this one down Little Tired Creek. May replace it with another but will probably be a traditional cache instead of a multi.

Geocache Description:

Located on a nature trail along Little Tired Creek in Cairo,Ga. This trail is actually in two segments. The cache is in the southern segment of the trail. Come walk the trail and enjoy the nature surrounding you with wild ferns creating a carpet on the ground all around you. On much of the trail you will be on a boardwalk built on the ground. Your first cache will be a small bison tube located at the north end of the trail. Inside the tube are coordinates and a clue to the real cache, which is located at the other end of the trail. You will be looking for a 1 gallon container filled with goodies. For those who don't like to excersise, a road runs parallel to the trail and you can actually ride from one end to the other. This segment of the trail is .4 miles long. FTF gets a small football with Cairo High School Syrupmakers on it. Yes, that is the team name. Voted by ESPN as the number 1 unique name for a high school team in the country.

Be careful when you leave the trail approaching ground zero. There are several cypress tree knots growing out of the ground and they are hidden by the wild ferns. They may trip you.
