10 Feet into History Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

khaytsus: I really hate to archive this one, as it's been one of my favourites, even with all of the maintenance I've had to do to it, but the area just doesn't support this particular cache hide and it didn't feel right to make it a 'normal' cache. Thanks for all the visits!

Geocache Description:

Much of what was in this area is lost, but not all!

This area used to be acres and acres of beautiful sprawling farmland, horse farms, and fields. Nearly all of it is lost, but some remnants of the past remain.

Come walk 10 feet into history and find yourself in a spot that probably hasn't changed in many years.

Please place the cache back exactly the way you found it so that the next cacher may enjoy it too! When retrieving the cache, there should be no physical 'adjustment' of the cache necessary. If it seems it's in a difficult place, there's a solution nearby! IE: Don't hit, swat, or hassle the cache! This cache has a bit of a puzzle element to it, please keep that in mind! That said, please let me know if the cache needs maintenance, it seems to get out of alignment occasionally. Also, please make sure the lid is closed on all four sides, sometimes these type of cache containers need careful closing but once they're closed they are very water resistant.

As with all caches, no climbing, digging, etc is required. I did not see any poison plants nearby, although it looks like an area ripe for them. Plenty of winter creeper around, however.

The cache is located in the proximity of a public place, so please take care when caching. You will be well hidden once you arrive at the cache, however. Update: The brush in the area around the cache has been cleared out, so be careful retrieving as you're going to be pretty exposed now! Cache is fine however, luckily nobody trimmed it out too!

Congratulations to JustinZ for the FTF!
