A quick cache located at a scout camp that belongs to the Northeastern Pennsylvania Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
Goose Pond Scout Reservation is one of the most important places on earth for me. I've worked on staff GPSR for seven years now and was Nature Director during 2007 and 2008.
GPSR has over 542 acres of land and has been in continuous operation since 1920 making it one of the oldest scout camps in the country.
I'm hoping that this cache will serve as a source of enjoyment for scout troops who visit our camp and as a navigational beacon for troops that have never been here before but who are active in geocaching.
The cache itself is located in a gravel pit known as "the shale pit."
Please STAY OFF the Cliffs and out of the main part of the camp or else this cache will have to be archived.
