The cache is located under the castle "Castello Rosso" that overlooks the city of Karystos in South Evia (or Euboea).
Karystos is the most southern city in Evia, located in a gulf. On the side of the Ochi mountain above Karystos, about 3km from the city, are the ruins of an old medieval castle called Castello Rosso (Red Castle). The cache is located in a patch of pine trees exactly under the castle, overlooking the city of Karystos and the gulf!
There is a road from Karystos that goes to the castle, passing through the village of Myloi.
Then following the trail under the castle, you have to get into the pine trees and search for it!
If you dont have a GPS unit with high sensitivity receiver, may be you will have reception problems under the trees!
You can drive there, or even walk from the city!
Visit the castle, and enjoy the magnificent view!
The easiest way to go to Karystos from Athens is through the ferry from Rafina port to the port of Marmari, which is a 15 minute drive from Karystos.
The cache is a plastic tupperware-style container.
In the cache you can find the logbook to log your visit, few trading items and two travel bugs for start!

There are many great places around you can visit if you like!
Like to climb on the top of mountain Ochi and visit the ancient mysterious "Drakospito" (Dragon house), or hike through the gorge of Dimosaris!
The area has many great unspoiled sights! and is very close to Athens!
