EXTREME PARK
This extreme make-over park was officially opened on 8 June 2007
and is noted as the first of its type in the world.
It took 200 JHB City Parks staff just 24 hours to transform this
1,22ha barren piece of land into an attractive park complete with a
mini soccer field and a fountain.
Work started at 6pm on Thursday, 7 June and by 4pm the following
day, lighting, play equipment, landscaping and mosaic footpaths had
been created, replacing the desolate open space that had
characterized the area 24 hours earlier.
Well done to Johannesburg City Parks.
