Whether you are a veteran geocoin collector or a new person interested in finding out about geocoins, join us for a fun filled day, lots of geocoins and caching.


* What: South Dakota Geocoin Event
* Where: The Outdoor Campus
* Event Contact: GPX Navigators
* Time: 10:00am - 3:00pm
* Why: Hang out with other geocachers, eat, cache, learn, trade geocoins, get goodies & have fun!



Activities Temporary caches nearby with who knows what goodies inside. Plenty of permanent area caches. Bring your geocoins to share & trade and to teach others about geocoins. We'll make it fun for the younger set too with kid activities.

Food We'll have picnic offerings of hotdogs, chips and soda for lunch. Please feel free to bring other goodies such as salads & desserts.

Please post a will attend log and note in it if you plan to bring a treat to eat so we can keep track. Thanks!

This event is open to everyone. So even if you don't collect geocoins, come and spend the afternoon hanging out and sharing geocaching stories with other area cachers. And if you are new to caching, come on in and meet the gang. We'll share our experience with you and get you on your way to caching. It's an easy Smiley. Hope to see you there!

Directions to the Outdoor Campus:

From I-29: Take the 41st Street exit and proceed east on 41st Street to Louise Avenue. Turn south (right) on Louise Avenue and proceed to 49th Street. Turn east (left) on 49th Street and proceed to Oxbow Avenue. Turn south on Oxbow Avenue. Take the first left into Sertoma Park. The Outdoor Campus building is on the south end of the parking lot.

From I-229: Take the Louise Avenue exit and proceed north on Louise Avenue to 57th Street. Turn east (right) on 57th Street and left on Oxbow Avenue. Take a right into Sertoma Park. The Outdoor Campus building is on the south end of the parking lot.
