This Multi begins at The Station Road Bridge trailhead. This cache can be done either on bike, foot and even by car (with some walking to the first stage), but will require a 12 mile round trip.
The listed coordinates will lead you to a sign on the side of the trail, once you have taken the towpath left from the bridge. From there, you will need to decode the coords for the next stage using these clues: (if coordinates are off, all stages excluding the final cache are signs within a few feet of the trail)
Stage ONE: 41 17.ABC

A=First digit of this lock's number
B=The second digit of that lock's number
C=Total of lock number's digits, minus ONE
D=Date the photo was taken, plus ONE, minus 1900
E=Same date minus 1900 (nothing added)
F=Number of times the word "Canal" appears plus THREE
The next stage will also be a sign, located roughly 1.5 miles from the first, all of this following the towpath. These clues will be needed there:

A=Posted elevation of Lake Erie minus 568
B=Total number of circled steps shown
C=Number of times "Red Lock" is mentioned plus TWO
D=Number of steam boats depicted
E=Elevation of Portage Summit minus 966
F=Number of jousting men depicted plus THREE
From here you will continue down the towpath into the township of Peninsula.

B=Number of Canal Boats depicted
C=Number of lines in the sample Mason Mark
D=Number name of this lock minus 21
E=Number times the word "Cattle" appears plus SIX
F=Number of times the word "block" or "blocks" appears plus THREE
The final stage is hidden in a small patch of woods near the lumberyard. Watch out for thorns and P.I. as you look for the roughly camoed quart sized Tupperware container.
Note: Each stage has its own specific code. "ABCDEF" changes. Also, BYOP, i forgot to leave one in there.
