Geocache Description:

The South side of the Loch is dominated by grassland and woodland habitats. In order to encourage wildflowers and insects, the grassland is managed and cut annually.

At the far end of the loch, the outflow is the source of the Dean Water which flows past Glamis on its way to the River Isla. Marshy ponds and reedbeds make this area of the Loch popular with wildfowl and waders. There is an impressive view along the length of the Loch from the bridge over the Dean.

The area at the end of the loch is a popular stopping off spot for local dogwalkers to stand and gossip so we have hidden the cache further along the loch!
