Geocache Description:

Mr Apollo and I have just come back from our summer holiday - not for us the beaches of Europe nor even the beaches of Gallifrey on Galaxy 4 (although if that cute Doctor Who number 10 were to be lying on the sands there in his swimming trunks then I suppose I might change my mind about seaside holidays) - no, we have been to Disneyland!

Shocked though we were at first when our old friend Buzz Lightyear chose to emigrate from Galaxy 4 to try his luck at becoming a movie star here on Earth, we have to admit that he made the right decision - we had no idea of the acting talent he harboured under his spacesuit. (he harbours something else under his spacesuit too but I’m a lady and I’m not going to reveal what I saw on the night before he left for Earth). It was through watching him and his friends that we found ourselves hooked on Disney films, so visiting Disneyland was a real treat for us, though I must say that Pluto wasn’t at all what we were expecting - at an average surface temperature of -387 degrees Centigrade that annoying orange mutt would never survive on the planet. We had a great time going on all the rides, although Mr Apollo had to go behind the kiosk to vomit after we went on the Mad Hatter’s spinning teacups - I think the motion was too much for him (though on the rare occasions when I let him take the controls for the SS Innes, his flying tends to end up following a remarkably similar movement).

We were so excited to see all of our favourite characters that we decided to set a cache in celebration of Mickey Mouse and his animated sons and daughters. Oh and there just happens to be a Bonzo Dog Doo Dah band song of that name - what a co-incidence.

But where to hide it? Well we think that Mickey and his children have brought so much pleasure to children all over the world that Mickey ought to be canonised. But of course he would have to use his full name so he would be St Michael. We typed this into our satellite navigation system on the SS Innes and were zoomed to this pleasant wood in Fife. We thought it made an excellent location in which to hide our box.

Naturally the theme of this cache is DISNEY. We don’t even mind if you use this box to get rid of some of your McDs/BK/KFC toys as long as they come from Disney films - but be warned - the cache is currently full to the brim with swaps so won’t fit anything big until it’s been depleted a bit.

Park in the layby at N56 23.809 W002 54.332, entrance to woods is at N56 23.731 W002 54.295.
