Come one and all for a birthday bash honoring two of our own long-time members, Not2Shabby and ADS1. N2S insisted on top billing 'cause she's OLDER. Just how old are they? I'm not telling, but black balloons would not be inappropriate, and we could use all the candles we can get (the Flora fire department has been notified and put on alert).
The bash will occur from 11:00 till at the spacious Obnor Estates located at 2066 Cox Ferry Road in Flora MS. To get there, travel to Flora, turn west on Cox Ferry Rd at Ramey's Grocery Store and go 7+ miles to the green cypress house on the right. Hamburgers with all the fixins will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your favorite side or dessert, MSGA members are known for their ability to eat. Please RSVP with MamaJo at jo@lmhomes.net to coordinate what you will be bringing.
Besides great food and fellowship, attendees will have the opportunity to search for several local caches, including the mysterious "on llub" cache supposedly on the premises. Panther Bluff and the Delta National caches are also not too far away. Some MSGA members will be bringing geocoin and travel bug collections you can go through to discover and harvest icons. If anyone is interested, the Willets have graciously invited everyone for a bonfire Friday night in their back yard and a night cache run as well!
Good food, great fellowship, geocoins, travel bugs, and a bunch of smileys! What better way to spend a summer afternoon than helping us celebrate and honor the lives of two of our OLD members!
