I was out here today shooting photos of Peregrine and many other
birds. When I looked to the west and saw the Bald Eagle in the
photo above perched over the nest out in the field. I was so
thrilled that I left a small cache in the shelter so others have a
reason to come out here and maybe get to see Eagles before they
move on. You are looking for an altoids gum tin that blends with
it's background. "Officially" you need an island parking pass for
here. You can get them at the little store just as you come on the
island for $3.50. Also DO NOT forget your cameras and or bird
glasses. This is one of the best viewing platforms on the island
and you will have plenty of photo ops if you come at the right
time.
