Wayfarer's Walk is a long distance path which starts at Inkpen
Beacon, this is also an end point of The Test Way. It is close to
the site of Combe Gibbet and follows a meandering route to
Emsworth, some 70 miles distant. The path starts in Berkshire, but
most of it is in the county of Hampshire. The path runs close to
the highest points in both Berkshire and Hampshire as witnessed by
the nearby trig points. Parts of the walk can get muddy and deeply
rutted whereas other parts are an easier terrain. I hope you enjoy
the wonderful views from this scenic path.
This is the site of an ancient fort and the surrounding area
features several tumuli. Be careful of the water close to where the
cache is hidden.
If you travel east from here, look out for a tree in the middle
of the field on your right. When the tree is about Southwest from
you it looks like a $. There's obviously money around here!
