Geocache Description:

Five Oaks Loop

Five Oaks Loop Trail is an optional 3 mile loop that splits off from Tashka Trail.  Five Oaks Loop begins approximately 5.8 miles (calculated by a clockwise route) from the South Trailhead.  Using my GPS and staying on the trails, I hiked 4.4 miles to the Five Oaks Loop trailhead.  For the extreme runner, hiker or biker, Five Oaks extends the total distance of the connected trails to 15.3 miles.  If approached from the North Trailhead (traveling counterclockwise), Five Oaks Loop splits off from Tashka trail 4.8 miles from the trail's start.

The entire trail is rated intermediate in accordance with International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA) guidelines.

From the parking area to the Five Oaks Loop trailhead my GPS measured 6.5 miles one way and a total of 13 miles roundtrip!
