This cache is out at the end of the ridge. You can park near the hwy on the asphalt. You can also take the dirt road to the right of the gate and get closer. If you have a 4x4 you can drive to the top of the ridge if you can find the road.
Please take a waypoint, when you park your car, to find your way back, there are no trails.
Stay to the top of the ridge, there is quite a bit less brush up there, the lower you go on the ridge, the more brush there is.
Hopefully, the cache is pertty easy to find, as what I wanted to show was the view.
From here you can see Big Creek, Huntington Lake, the Penstocks as they go between Huntington and Big Creek. Off to the right you can see the siphon, as the water moves through pipes from Huntington Lake, Dam 3, to Shaver Lake. Kirckoff Dome is 1000 feet below you. On clear days you can see Fresno, Madera, and the Coast Range.
Sunsets here are amazing. Please bring flashlights if you come for the sunsets, as it is still quite a walk back to the car afterward.
This area is untouched, please respect everything you see. Please bring a small trash bag and Cache in Trash out. If this area starts to show that this cache is going to damage it, I will have pull it.
