REST AT HILLCREST is another "Off the beaten path old
cemetery" cache, or "ACIDKA"! Its a quaint old cemetery
located in Belchertown, MA, bordered by the gorgeous scenery near
my home.
Hillcrest Cemetery is one of the many older cemeteries in
Belchertown, MA, but one that I pass by often, and thought it
deserved a visit, and a cache! MamaSyms was bored tonight, so she
tossed together a new cache, dragged BubbaSyms out with her, and
did our thing. Thanks for coming with me, Bubba!! This is also to
celebrate our 100th find yesterday!
You are looking for a 30 cal ammo can thats stuffed with goodies
for both big and little cachers!
There is a trail located in the back corner of the cemetery that
you want to follow. Please pick the RIGHT trail, as another
trail there leads to a very STEEP drop off, and you don't
want to go there. That could cause you to become a resident at
Hillcrest..use your noggin. The marker you want to keep an eye out
for near the area where you enter the woods behind the graveyard
bears the name "WALKER". It sort of stands out from the
rest, so look for this:
Its a short downhill walk into the woods, and then there is about
40 feet of bushwacking to Ground Zero, so thats why I've given this
a 2.5 rating. I think it could be a little slippery in the winter,
but totally doable. There is considerable leafy coverage in the
summer which can throw off your GPS, so once you're near the area,
you might need to rely on your Geo-sense to spot the cache!
Or just summon up some of the old spirits that are known to
haunt the woods here, and see if they'll guide you to the treasure!
I hear old ghost Walker is a big help...he actually led us to the
place where the cache is stashed, and sits there, waiting for
visitors now..keep your eyes open for him, and he'll help you
out.

Enter the graveyard from the Pine Street side, there is a little
dirt road that you can park on, and then walk up to the graveyard.
