Part of the Riverwood Estate, the Chappell creek is in a valley located between 2 of the 4 terraces of the Riverwood estate. It flows between the Zaichuk Terrace and the Chappell Terrace. I like this area because it is away from the main Culham trail, so it is not as busy and you are more likely to see more wildlife (i.e Spot a deer or one of the 46 species of birds and other animals that make Riverwood their home). The first time I saw a woodpecker was in this park. If you want more information about Riverwood check out www.mississauga.ca
There are two ways to get at this cache either by foot or by bike.
BIKE: If you want to test your mountain biking skills use the Culham Trail (Parking at N 43 33.818, W 079 40.266) and get to the following trailhead (N 43 33.866, W 079 40.527). There are more mountain biking trails up the western side of the creek valley at the Zaichuk Terrace if you want to explore the area.
FOOT: If you prefer to hike use the parking and trailhead (boardwalk at entrance) at N 43 33.975, W 079 40.440. There is a sign about no bikes from this side of the trail (but the trails meet up anyway so I don't see the logic in not letting bikes in from this side).
