What we're doing - We will be removing trash from the
shoreline, parking lots, and possibly the lake itself if the ranger
brings out the boat. :)
When - 9am to noon, September 15th.
Where - Uvas Reservoir. Meet at the parking area, which
is located at the posted coordinates. If we finish the cleanup at
Uvas Reservoir and have time, we can do some cleanup at nearby
Chesbro Reservoir as well.
What will be provided - Gloves, trash bags, water,
snacks, volunteer sign in sheets, limited litter sticks, hand
sanitizer, first aid kits, and staff for safety and oversight, and
to haul away the trash.
What you should bring - Hats, sunscreen, sunglasses,
sturdy shoes (no open toes!), some prefer their own leather gloves,
backpack to carry water and snacks, any necessary allergy or other
personal medications.
I'm planning to bring a supply of Tecnu, in case it's needed.
We'll also raffle off some cool geocoins, and any other
goodies I can get donated.
Our cleanup stats and those of the groups cleaning other areas
will be reported to the media, so let's make a good showing for the
GBA!
