Fjelbergsund separates the two islands of Borgundøy og Nordhusøy.
The boat people link up at the guest harbour belonging to
Fjelbergsund grocery store. The passage run trough Fjelbergsund and
if you are comming from north-west the lighthouse in northern
Fjelbergsund is good guide.
The nature on Borgundøy is very impressive and just across the
sound, by the quay in Fjelberg, is an old vicarage and a church,
built in 1722.
Fjelbergsundet skiller de to øyene Borgundøy og Nordhusøya. I
Dalavika, ved gjestebryggen til Fjelbergsund Landhandel, møtes
båtfolket. Skipsleden går gjennom Fjelbergsundet. Kommer man fra
nordvest, er lykten i Nordre Fjellbergsund et godt holdepunkt.
Den storslåtte naturen preger omgivelsene på Borgundøy. Rett over
sundet, ved kaien i Fjelberg, ligger kirken og prestegården. Kirken
er fra 1722.
Fra Sydnes til Fjelberg og Borgundøy er det fergeforbindelse.
