Train Wreck: Nature's Balance Beam Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Wis Kid: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden in Wirth Park south in Brookfield. There is an unpaved bike trail that will take you fairly close to the cache but several trees have fallen across it. The entrance by this trail is next to the volleyball court. Watch out for poison ivy, thorns and burs. The difficulty of this cache goes down in the winter.

This cache is a normal sized ammo container containing prizes, a logbook and two pen. Muggles like to run, bike and play in this area so watch out. Some bushwalking is necessary so wear pants or long socks. During the summer, mosquitoes will likely accompany you while searching!. Please see the waypoint point below for the coordinates to the parking area. "Nature's Balance Beams" are mostly overgrown in the summer but are still visible. There are many places this cache could be so look hard. There is no need to cross the tracks but if you get lucky you might see a train go by.

The balance beam itself is extremely slippery when wet or covered in snow and may not be able to hold large amounts of weight.
