The CITO will take place at one of Hampton County’s Boat Landings.
Saturday Morning
November 3, 2007
8:00am until 10:00am
We will start early to finish up before the area becomes busy with
day visitors.
Please come out and help clean this little part of our environment.
We will clean litter from the boat landing and along the river
bank.
The landing is on the Salkehatchie River and located on Hwy 601
about 10 miles north of the town of Hampton at the Hampton/Colleton
County Line.
Because the parking is very limited and it is unlawful to obstruct
the Ramp Access area, we should park along the roadside near the
landing. There should be plenty of room for safe parking along the
roadside.
Trash bags will br provided.
Suggested additional items that you may wish to bring are
sunscreen, bug spray, garden gloves, pick up tools and water.
Thanks to the Hampton County Adopt-a-highway Coordinator for help
in planning this litter clean-up and to the DNR for suggesting the
location. Thanks also to the members of the Highway Department who
will retrieve and properly dispose of the litter collected.
