This is a geocache to replace my original “Marana The Rural” that was trashed by the “Flood of 06”, just a year ago. This one is on higher ground and is an easy-to-get-to, easy-to-find cache in rural Marana, Arizona.
The object of this hide is to give you a tour of rural Marana. Marana has long been a farming and ranching community. Depending on your route, you should get a change to see the rodeo grounds, horse and cattle ranches, feed lots, livestock sale barns, cotton fields, cotton gins, extensive irrigation canals and pumps, and the Santa Cruz River.
The cache is a fairly small container, not really suitable for trade items, probably better if you just log your find in the logbook. However, there is a FTF prize of a 2-million year old, fossilized shark's tooth.
Point of interest: the Bull Room Café in the Sale Barn nearby has good food.
