How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
Since many other states already have a DeLorme challenge, I thought it was about time for Arkansas to get one, so here it is.
The coordinates above will take you to the steps in front of the state capitol building. The cache is not there. In order to receive the correct coordinates you will need to complete the challenge outlined below.
To log this cache you must find OR place a cache within the area shown on each and every map page of the Arkansas DeLorme Atlas and Gazetteer. All caches placed must meet the usual standards for approval and maintenance. Many of you may already have a copy of this resource. If not you can get it at a local bookstore without having to spend too much for it.
This challenge will not be limited to new cache hides and finds; you can count caches found or hidden prior to the publication of this listing. You just need to make sure every map page from the DeLorme Atlas and Gazetteer is represented.
When you have completed this challenge or as you near completion, please create a public bookmark list that includes DeLorme and all the qualifying caches with what map page they represent. This makes it easy for me to verify, and it lets others see your progress.
If any cache is on multiple pages of the atlas it will only count for one of the pages. Also, only caches that are in Arkansas will count for this challenge. All caches must be caches with a container and a logbook. Virtuals, locationless, webcams, events, etc. will not count.
If you have any questions about this, please feel free to e-mail me. Good luck!
Congrats to woodwalker9 on the FTF!!!
