Geocache Description:

Or maybe the bottom of Old Smokey. This cache is located at about the halfway point on the one mile Burnt Mountain Preserve loop trail.

**PLEASE NOTE** There are bears in the area. Hike in groups of two or more for this cache.

We literally stumbled on this trail while we were out caching one day. The view is breathtaking here so we decided its a good place for a cache. This is a steep hike, so come prepared. The parking area is a small gravel drive off of HWY 136. There are no signs marking the drive, but the trailhead board is visible from the road. Cache is about 20 feet off the trail.
