Geocache Description:

This is the fourth in a series of caches designed to be family oriented and kid-friendly. Also a great place to teach newbies how to geocache! Down a gravel access road then into fields and woods.

Welcome to EMSDanel’s Geo Zoo! Have you seen the “Wildlife Muggle’s” geocoins? The idea is that wild animals watch you place your caches and sometimes lug them off. So, I’ve enlisted the help of some local fauna to guard these caches. You are looking for an animal that is holding the log for you to sign. This little guy's name is "Rocky". Although this animal would qualify as "regular" in size, the log container is micro in size (film canister) so don’t worry about trading items. Bring a pen or pencil with you. PLEASE DON’T TEAR THEIR HIDING SPOTS APART and carefully rehide them when you are through. Kids of all ages….. Enjoy! This is the fourth exhibit in what I am hoping will be a fun, family oriented geocache experience. In the spirit of Geocaching, this would also be a great spot to bring someone to teach them about the sport and how to use a GPS. As the days go by I will be adding to the exhibits and making this sort of a geo petting zoo. The owners of this property live just down the road from me and have graciously given their permission to place some caches here. So when you see the signs that say “Access by permission only” you can assume that geocachers have that permission. Please be respectful of their land and practice CITO whenever possible. You can park along Snow’s Corner Road or on the southeastern edge of the access road where the gate/cable is, but please do not block the access road since trucks do sometimes come in and out. If you have any questions, I live in the brown house across the road. As you travel down the access road, look for the Geo Zoo sign, bear (no pun intended) left into the field, and proceed from there. That would be better than to continue on down the road to where they have been digging gravel. These will be kid-friendly, so have fun! One note: This is an area frequented by deer and many hunters so if you are out during any hunting season be sure to wear blaze orange. I will probably archive these during the month of November.
