The cache is a cammo painted lock n lock with a logbook and some
goodies. There are lots of really cool Girl Guide badges too and it
would be great to see more "crest for a crest" trading.
SOAR is a week long camp hosted by BC Girl Guides every 3 years for
girls from BC, Canada and around the world. This year's event was
held in nearby Parksville and geocaching was offered to the girls
as an activity. We had girls who'd never heard the term before,
girls who are old pros and everyone in between. It was a fantastic
week and we've left a cache with a log book all the geocaching
participants signed. Check out Girl Guides at
www.bc-girlguides.org. Although we did most of our teaching &
caching at the top of Notch Hill, and the view is well worth the
hike, there are a number of other caches there already so we had to
pick another spot. Happy Caching
