This cache is in an area that uses gates that are part of the Newlands irrigation project to divert water into the Harmon Reservoir. I placed it in honor of a San Diego Caching legend/friend/hero of ours “Harmon” who's caching name is SD Rowdies (look him up and read his logs; they are hilarious). He makes caching fun and reached a milestone of 3000 caches this week. He is over 70 years old, yet can hike with the best of us. His unique sense of humor really keeps all San Diego cachers in stitches. He was also an engineer who spent many days at NAS Fallon supporting the F/A-18 Hornet. The local donkeys will never forget him.
Left a coin to move along. The ammo can is otherwise empty until I return with some swag as I wasn't quite prepared today. Watch out for the cow patties and bugs.
