In the 15 years that this cache has been hidden here the cemetery has gone thru a lot of changes. Currently there are many dead shrubs left from the deep freeze of 2021. I replaced the cache on 8-21-22 in almost the exact same place as the original which happened to be in one of the few remaining green shrubs.
A tribute to Arlington's greatest legendary heavy metal hero, Darrell Abbott, also known as 'Dimebag Darrell'. He is well known in Rock and Roll for his participation in the heavy metal band Pantera and then later, Damage Plan. He is also known by countless people in this area as one of the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet. He was brutally murdered while on stage in Columbus, Ohio on December 8, 2004 (on the anniversary of John Lennons death). He is buried in a KISS coffin (donated by Gene Simmons) along with Eddie Van Halens guitar that Eddie himself placed in the coffin. Darrell is greatly missed by everyone he touched. He was born and raised in the Arlington area and is now laid to rest next to his beloved mother and now his brother Vinnie Paul who passed away in 2018. Please pause to pay your respects to a truly great man. Had to replace the original cache with a micro, so bring your own writing device (just like you would to a concert) to sign the log. For those of you who are familiar with Darrell, please keep it family friendly.
