Welcome To Lacey 2
aka Hawks Prairie
Are you a local
cacher, a passing I-5 traveler, a outdoor enthusiast visiting from
afar? No matter where you're from or where you're headed,
Lacey Welcomes You!
For all the
statistical information you wanted to know about Lacey but were
afraid to ask, check out this very long page full of too much info.
There you will find charts, graphs, and stats for everything you
can think of.
City-Data.com
The City of Lacey
maintains a very useful website as well -- including things like
how to drive in a Roundabout, which are getting to be common in
this area.

The statue you see
close to the street is honoring our military families, Let's not
forget the hardships they go through while they serve our
country.

This cache is replacing the
previous listing I maintained here. The first container wasn't very
well thought out, and disappeared after 4 months. After a long
period of trying to come up with a better solution, I finally
placed one that blended in very well. But after 7 months the
landscapers removed its hiding spot so again I had to ponder the
possible options for a hide here. I can't say the landscapers
removed it to be malicious, they were just doing their job. I think
I have come up with a solution that hopefully will be good enough
to have extended longevity. One thing the landscapers have done is
force me to be more creative. If this one disappears the next cache
will have to be much more difficult to find. I feel this one will
endure for some time though.
As before, Do Not molest any
sprinkler heads! Resist the temptation please, they are a pain to
dig up and fix. I promise its not in a sprinkler head.
Please be casual about the search
if possible, be aware that this is a public area and part of the
challenge is dealing with that fact. I'm not a huge fan of public
hides, so its hidden with that in mind.
Ok, there's your
info and clues, have fun!!
