WitzAbout: Event is done. Time to put it to bed. Really glad for all the participation in the race and those who came along to the events for the fun. It was fun to run the race, but I'm glad I'm done having to score the race :)
We will have to figure out something else fun to do next year! If people want another travelbug race, I am willing to help out - but I would need volunteers to help run it and score it.

Geocache Description:

The Official Completion of the 2007 COSGEO TravelBug Race!
1:00pm-3:30pm Monument Valley Park
Race awards at 2:00pm

2007-09-17 - Ammo Cans from Grand High Pobah's winning bulk purchase are available for pre-order and pickup at the event.

This event will be the awards event for the final scoring of the COSGEO 2007 TravelBug Race.
The event is also open to any Geocachers who want to come to meet other geocachers as well as view the awards, and take part in the festivities.

Scoring of the racing TravelBugs will be closed as of 9/20/2007. Any activity after that time will not be counted.
Awards for the Racers will be annouced at the event, starting at 2:00pm. TB owners do not need to be present to get awards, but it helps!

This event will take place in the Monument Vally Park Pavilion. Romm for up to 200 in the pavilion.
Parking is Mesa Rd at Glen Ave: N38 50.745 W104 49.785
Suggested access is via I25 to Uintah St; 1 Block East to make a Right on Glen Ave going South; Turn Right going South into the Parking lot at Mesa Rd. Pavilion is approximately 1/4mi south walk from the parking lot.

There will be a standard raffle to cover costs: $1/ticket; $5/6-tickets - prizes to be annouced. Must be present to win or have made arrangements. Any extra funds will go to the non-profit Geocaching-Colorado State group; of which COSGEO represents the Southern Region of Geocaching Colorado.

There will be snacking: some provided; you can also bring some snacks to share, but it is not required.

We should have some extra time for additional activities. If anyone would like to present anything during the event, please contact me (WitzAbout aka Keith) as much ahead of time as you can.
