Join us for a Saturday afternoon Geocaching Meet & Greet for the whole family at the
PIONEER VALLEY ICE CREAM SOCIAL
Saturday, September 29 - 3:00 to 6:00 PM
(Rain Date - Sun., Sept. 30, same time)

Fayvor
The cow that started it all!

Location: Flayvors Ice Cream Shop & Restaurant
South Maple Road, Hadley, Massachusetts

This event is for the kids in all of us. Join us for a Saturday afternoon of ice cream and socializing at Flayvor's of Cook Farm in Hadley, MA. Our friends Beth & Gordon Cook have been gracious enough to allow us to rearrange the picnic tables out behind their store for a geocaching get-together.

There will be the usual table for Travel Bugs and Geocoin swapping as well as some prizes for drawing (stay tuned). If you'd like to contribute items for the drawing, please feel free to bring them with you - and thank you. We are also working out some details for fun activities for the kids (again, stay tuned).

Cook Farm is one of the gems of the Pioneer Valley. Cook Farm has been in the Cook family for three generations and they have won the Massachusetts Premier Breeder award for eighteen consecutive years running. The genetics for their milk cow herd is among the highest in demand on the East Coast. What does this mean for us? The best ice cream you'll ever taste of course!!! Their restaurant / ice cream shop is called "Flayvors" (named after their premier milk cow 'Fayvor' - from which 80% of their herd is decended) and the Cooks make all of their ice cream from milk harvested from their herd in the barn just 300 feet away from the store! Food and dinner fare is also available.

This will be a terrific event to bring the kids to. The ice cream and food are some of the best to be found in the area. Cook Farm is a working farm, and the family encourages people to visit the cows and walk amongst the venision pens. However, if you do visit the working part of the farm, please be respectful of the animals and any people who may be working there at the time! Children should be accompanied by an adult at all times if visiting the working side of the farm (clearly marked).

See you there and Happy Caching!
