Allendale Road is the shortest route from Gawler if you are
heading out to the Barossa Goldfields. The road descends from the
area of Kalbeeba, through a ford in the South Para River, then
ascends to the hill ridges, which it follows all the way to the
goldfields.
Along the way, there are fantastic views in all directions, with
a scattering of houses to remind you that civilisation is not far
away.
This cache makes a good way stop, so the vehicle driver can look
at the views, rather than take in a passing glimpse.
