RPA-3K Huk's "Wildlife Viewing Point"

This cache is part of a series of caches to honor Bayonets4U
reaching the 3000 find milestone. Located on Suffolk County
Parklands. This looks like another area where Suffolk bought an old
farm parcel and turned it into parklands. Best parking is off the
north connector ramp between Sunrise Highway and Rte. 111 just
before "Stargazer." You will find an old farm road that can easily
be seen on GoogleEarth maps.
I had seen the parkland signs many times so I thought I'd go
exploring. The area is much more extensive than I thought. I saw
lots of deer, birds, dragonflies and two foxes that ran from their
den barking as I approached! The cache is about 500 feet from the
den and the main approach will not take you past it. Please be
quiet so you don't disturb them and maybe you will be rewarded with
a sighting!
