Another sneaky cache from Pwezzr2 & lindlib. Located close to
Hwy. 7 with plenty of parking. As with any cache close to a
highway, please use caution.
This area has always been known by the locals as "The Divide" since
it is the high point between Morton and Mineral. When the Tacoma
Eastern Railroad first came to the area in the early 1900's the
line ended at the top of the divide with a depot at the town of
Glenavon. Everything had to travel the last 7 miles to Morton by
horse and wagon. Then in July, 1910 the line was opened into Morton
which probably brought a demise to Glenavon.
