This cache is located near Courthouse and Jail Rock. Watch for snakes in season.
This cache has been placed in remembrance of days gone by. It is located next to property owned by the City of Bridgeport and maintained by the Camp Clark Raiders Muzzleloading Club.
The Camp Clarke Raiders have been rendezvousing at the base of Courthouse and Jail Rock for over 30 years. Over Memorial Day Weekend and Labor Day Weekend the area transforms itself back to the American West of the 1820's and 30's.
During the rendezvous the range is usually busy from 8 am until after sunset with men, women and kids shooting black powder rifles, pistols and shotguns in all kinds of competitions. There is more to the rendezvous than the black powder, however. Other events including the tomahawk, knife and spear throwing competitions, mountain man runs, and children's activities. This family event, held twice a year, is open to the public.
