The cache is a micro and located not far off the banks of the maroochy river.Parking is at the historical landmark No 5 of Coolum S 26 34.157 E153 03 891.
Once parked head south along a track (don't wear your good shoe's).
The History.
" Kate" was the name of the first mailboat to travel down river from Yandina to Coolum in 1909.William Coulson established the service and the cache(Coulson's wharf) by scrub bull at Yandina,is where,from the train "Kate" was loaded to make her journey.Licensed to carry 10 people and with Coolum's isolation at the time, she proved a very popular mode of transport.In 1911 they built a wharf for her and some of the timber still stands today as a reminder.
