National Treasure is the
story of one man's search for the immense, secret treasure
hidden by the Founding Fathers.
This is one of our family's favorite films and puts us in a
cache hunting mood.
Each cache in this series represents a different scene in the
movie as the main character Benjamin Franklin Gates hunts for the
treasure.
During this scene, Ben Gates uses the ocular device to reveal
another clue from the Declaration of Independence...
"Heere at the wall", spelled with two E's.
Simple. "Heere at the wall." Wall Street and Broadway.
The map said "Heere at the wall", spelled with two E's.
Wall Street follows the path of an actual wall that the original
Dutch settlers built as a defense to keep the British out.
The main gate was located at a street called De Heere, also two
E's.
Later De Heere Street was renamed Broadway after the British got
in.
The coords take you to an old wall, nothing historical but you will
find much History within driving distance from this area of how we
fought against the British during the war of 1812.
