This flash event is synchronized with flash mob events around
the world!
"For geocachers by geocachers"
This event is part of the WWFM - World Wide Flash Mob
coordinated events. A flash mob is a large group of people who
assemble suddenly in a public place, do something unusual for a
brief period of time, then quickly disperse.
There is at least one other event happening at the same time in
the uk and over 150 worldwide !
This World Wide Flash Mob Event will be at the Cenotaph right in
the heart of Harrogate (opposite from Bettys) at 6:00 PM
A bucket will be placed at ground zero will signal the start of
the event exactly at 6pm!!!
The event will last EXACTLY 15 minutes, not one second longer,
and will include signing log sheets, a FTF prize, a quick event
meal (yes I did say food is provided !), TB & Geocoin swap,
caching discussions, CITO and a group photo!
IMPORTANT: If you get to the area before 6pm, mill about near
but not close to the event and mosey. Be nonchalant and casual.
Look like a muggle tourist! Don't look like a gathering waiting to
happen. Mosey as realistically as you can. This is part of the fun.
Dont just stand there not looking at each other like twits !
We will seem to appear out of nowhere so that muggles will not know
what is going on.
Schedule of Events:
6:00 PM
Event begins.
6:00 - 6:05 PM
Sign the Log-see below. A FTF prize will be awarded(**), but please
don't run me over. 
6:05 - 6:08 PM
Event Meal: We will be handing out a quick "micro meal" (****) so
save your appetite!
6:08 - 6:10 PM
Raffle. A random event log sheet will be taken from the bucket for
one person to win the raffle.
6.10 - 6.12 PM
This is when we will be doing something unusual (you will have to
wait and see .... 
6:10 - 6:14 PM
Event Photo: We will snap a quick group photo. Only one official
photo will be taken and posted on the event page after the
event.
6:15 PM
LEAVE! The event will end promptly at 6:15 PM. Please do not linger
at the site.
** When I place the bucket inside the bucket will be index cards.
Take an index card out of the bucket (even if you have not got a
log-on caching name). BRING A PEN and write your name and caching
name on the index card and throw it in the bucket. First one in
wins the prize
****Let me know how many in your party will be attending so I
know how much food to bring.
A few things to know:-
• The event will occur rain or shine!
• You must sign a log sheet in order to log the cache.
• Please do NOT linger at the site as that detracts from the spirit
of the event.
• Please take at least one peice of rubbish from around the area
per person as you leave. (mini CITO event !)
WARNING - CAR PARKING !
As this is right in the heart of Harrogate there is no easy car
parking on top of the cache event... be prepared to park and walk
to the site... dont be late we will not be waiting for you !
If you are early you can always do a spot of rubbish picking up
before hand !

After the official meet we shall be moving to a local hostelry (The
Alexandra) for a quick jar for those interested... !!
The Alexandra is a 30 second walk away from the cache event site
!
The Alexandra, formerly known as the Rat & Parrot, dates back
to 1896 when it was an hotel. Following a refurbishment in June
2007, it reverted back to it's former name of 20+ years ago. With a
modern updated look, it is still a 'proper pub' with the feel of a
friendly local. Open plan, with relaxed seating areas, the pub is a
one room venue, bright and airy with a fantastic fun atmosphere. It
accepts children !

making videos but my daughter did take these, well they are
marginally better than nothing !
