Long Description

Clue 1

This village was awarded the “Edyvean-Walker” tree as Best Kept Large Village in Warwickshire on three occasions. The plaques commemorating this are on a wall visible from the start place. Using the information on any one of these plaques, applying the formula below, go to the named place in the village to search for clue 2.

Clue 1. (NB ’ Letters’ include punctuation marks)

Line 4 letters 3 and 4

Line 9 letters 4,5, and 6

Line 6 letter 17

Line 7 letters 1, 22 and 23.

Clue 2

In the environs of the building derived from Clue 1, there is a plaque which is unique in that it has some capital letters in a distinct and different colour from the remaining letters. Ignoring any numbers and superscripts, write down these capital letters in order. Next deleting duplicates as you go, ascribe the numbers 1 to 9 to the 9 letters you have left.

The coordinates of the final cache are:

N 52deg.  (L+M-B)P.Y(F-I)M     W 001 deg. FJ.RI(B+L)
