They Served #1 Mystery Cache
MtnProf: The new maintainers of the cemetery are keeping it locked all the time for months now. Not fair to keep this going if people can't get into the cemetery. Too bad, quite a bit of history in this tiny plot.

Solve while you are there looking at some graves. Easy walking on uneven grassy surface. When I placed this the cemetery was unlocked except for December-February. Now it seems to be open May thru October. Fear of vandalism I was told but seems to me more visitors would discourage such.
The people of the town of Leicester were quite involved in the early history of our country and the Revolutionary War. Many were at Lexington and Concord on April 19, 1775. This is to honor some of their sacrifices and services. It’s a two part multi with a little learning involved. Parking can be found across the street or just to the West of this cemetery. Do not park on the road or you might be ticketed. There is a FTF certificate and the usual initial goodies in the cache.
Start out at N 42 14.726 W 71 54.912
False final: N 42 14.787 W 71 54.902. You must adjust these coordinates using information you find in the cemetery.
Subtract from the North coordinates the two digit year (17xx) that Colonel William Henshaw of Leicester is first recorded as having said these words: “…men ready to march upon a minutes notice”.
Add to the West coordinates the number of Leicester men who were killed in the Revolutionary War. The answer will be the true cache coordinates. Both of the needed figures can be found in the cemetery.
Finally, you may of course log in on Geocaching.com as having found this after signing the cache log book. But just to see how good your sense of history is, send me an email explaining why Henshaw and a few other Revolutionary War soldiers have both an American and British flags on their graves. Gasp, was this adjunct to Washington and the others Benedict Arnold types??
