Geocache Description:

An easy cache reached from Skipness House.

The cache is an ammo box containing the usual goodies.

There is the Seafood Cabin at Skipness House serving some of the best seafood and home baking in Scotland and is open during the summer months. Closed on Saturday.

Sometimes cattle are in the field and should be people friendly but if you have any concerns, ask at the Seafood Cabin.

Nearby is Skipness Castle, well worth a look, also Kilbrannan Chapel although roofless is in good condition with medieval carved tombstones within. The skull and crossbones symbol on some of the gravestones is the sign of mortality – not the sign of a dead pirate.

There are designated walks around the estate leaflets on which can be obtained at the Cabin

Please note Skipness Estate is a working farm therefore dogs should be kept under close control, leave all gates as found and follow the country code.
